Playbutton®, is a patent-protected, fully customizable mp3 player in a wearable button. In September of 2010, Playbutton founder and creator Nick Dangerfield, president of Parte LLC, began speaking with World of Mouth’s Adam Jordan about various music projects, including GLINT. A few phone calls later, the two started working together, as Jordan offered strategic insight and new market opportunities for the clever device. World of Mouth created dozens of marketing presentations to further diversify Playbutton’s core market, immediately resulting in new sales.
World of Mouth helped develop the infrasctucture to offer consumer customized buttons via the online store and secured and negotiated the purchase of playbutton.com.
In a mutual quest between Jordan and Dangerfield to go “mainstream,” World of Mouth developed a unique business plan for Playbutton LLC, which included projected financials, a polished marketing plan, and web design mockups for the custom division. As Jordan initially thought Justin Bieber would be the ideal launch pad to bring Playbutton to the masses, he decided to approach Island Def Jam and Scooter Braun about the device. The following month, World of Mouth accelerated a strategic partnership between Parte LLC and Silent Media Group, the start up investment firm of Scooter & Adam Braun, Justin Bieber’s manager and Pencils of Promise founder, respectively.
World of Mouth facilitated dozens of meetings with the Braun’s, ultimately leading to the creation and strategic alliance which is now Playbutton LLC.
